Comparison
of Pasarela walk is now surfacing the internet for the different candidates
for Miss Universe 2016. But two "face-off" was almost forgotten, and
that is between Miss Philippines and Miss Sweden.
Why?
They
are the "tie-breaker" for the crown. Both Philippines and Sweden has
three Miss Universe crown and the only advantage of the Philippines was it has
2 first runners up as compared to one only for Miss Sweden.
Likewise,
when Sweden won the crown in 1966 and 1984, Philippines was on a strong footing
as well when Maria Clarinda Soriano (Top 15) and Desiree Verdadero (3rd Runner
Up) battle for the crown, respectively.
However,
there was only one incident when Sweden battle for the crown against the Philippines
and that is in 1969 when Brigitta Lindloff lose to Gloria Diaz.
This
year, it will be between Maxine Medina and Ida Ovmar. Maxine's very Oriental
image is hard to snob when put side by side with the very Caucasian looks of
Ida.
Who will take the 4th crown? Sweden or Philippines? or will they both end up as Finalist only?
