to that. Some people work for a living and some people thwart for a living."
"For me winning Miss USA is important because I think it
was a victory not only for brown girls everywhere but chocolate girls
everywhere… I think it represented a time where we were being validated as
being beautiful as black woman so for me….that meant something for me….it wasn’t
just an accomplishment for little black girls from Detroit to hug nothing but
it was accomplishment for people. That’s important to recognize."
