Miss Universe Twelve Highest Scores in Evening Gown

The evening gown competition is another segment of a beauty pageant that a candidate must pass in order to advance to the final round.

Just like the swimsuit competition, this girls own the stage to project the regal bearing of the gown they are wearing. Carolina Gomez scored high in the evening gown competition because of her regal bearing as well as her hair style in the competition. Notice the difference of her hair when she competed in Miss Colombia versus when she is at Miss Universe. She wear the same gown but different hair color. Should she kept the black hair color at the Miss Universe, I bet she wouldn’t score that high.

Most of the gown that the girls have worn are “shoulder visible.” Gabriela Isler wore a fully covered shoulder at Miss Universe 2013 but we wouldn’t know if she scored high in that year. Denise Quinones wore a shoulder visible gown in 2001 and it was after three years when another girl scored high in the evening gown. Only two girls wore a “shoulder covered” gown and scored high on the list: Angela and Porntip but what is common about their gown, it’s the “the butterfly shoulder.” Lupita and Porntip scored almost the same considering the three year interval of their win. Their gown is almost the same except the color.

The “shoulder visible” gown can be best described by the people who wore it on the 12th spot. Charlene wore a tube Cinderella type gown, Veruzkha wore tube gown while Marena wore an off shoulder gown and they all scored the same.

So, is it the slit on the gown? Is it the white color? Is it the backless? That makes a girl score high in the evening gown. Play the videos and observe. Feel free to write on the comment space.

The tradition of the “Little Sister” began in 1983 and ended in 1995 (12 years). But it was only in 1987, when “The Star Medley” song was started to use. Upon Trump’s takeover of the Miss Universe in 1996, the evening gown competition was reformatted.
