One of the few considered as “Ultimate Beauty Queen” for winning two titles in a row.

Punika represented Thailand at the Miss Earth 2013 and won as second runner up. She then again represented Thailand at Miss International 2014 and again won as second runner up.

When it was brought to the attention of Miss Earth, her title was stripped. Miss Earth should have been more considerate in the case of Punika since there was really no responsibility that was put on her during her reign. In fact the reign of the four winners should be on diminishing order where Miss Earth will reign for one year on the date she was crowned which will vary arbitrarily once the next titlist was crowned whichever comes first. The first runner should finish her reign then for nine months and the second runner up for six months and the fourth runner up for three months. Thus the fourth runner up would then have the option to compete in other beauty pageant. 

Miss International 2014 was held on 11 November 2014 and Miss Earth 2014 was held on 29 November 2014 that was 18 days difference for Miss Earth not to be considerate with the case of Punika whose 2013 reign should have been finished. It makes my blood boil to see beauty queens being stripped of title. These girls starved to death to keep their figure. Their facial muscle has to be programmed to smile all the time and their calves has to endure the pain of wearing those seven incher stiletto and then in just one moment, the title will be stripped. That gruesome!

Technically, it was not the fault of Punika but rather with the organizer of Miss Thailand for not seeing it in advance. If they have been more strategic like what Osman Souza did with Jessica Barboza, she might have kept the title. Nevertheless, with all those videos and pictures on the net guaranteeing that she is still the crowned second runner up at Miss Earth, she will keep that title for life. Hopefully, she become as successful as other beauty queens featured on this blog since the opportunity given to her was not taken advantage of by others. There are those who was given the opportunity to represent their country in the Big Four Beauty Pageant and still not place, in the case of Punika, she did it twice.
